Most exchanges will need you to verify KYC (Know Your Customer). This is done with your ID, Drivers License or Passport. Some exchanges such as Gdax requires that you verify with two different ID:s.
This process is currently very slow for most exchanges because the enormous popularity that the cryptospace has at the moment. Some have even closed the registration process because they can't keep up! So be patient, you will get verified! Enjoy!
